New Recycling Carts to Roll Out This Summer in Farmington, Farmington Hills and Wixom!
Recycling will become easier and more convenient for residents and more cost-effective for the cities as residents will be provided (at no cost) with new wheeled carts to replace their existing curbside bin.
Residents will have their choice of three sizes: 35-gallon, 64-gallon, or 96-gallon. The floor footprint of the smaller cart is actually smaller than the existing 18-gallon bin, while the middle size cart is about the same as the existing bin and the largest cart is somewhat larger. Residents can pick the size they prefer by calling their city’s Department of Public Works.
